Wandering Streetz of Warzawa, Poland 2010

BELOW: Warsaw, Poland. A bas-relief of a mother with child from the socialist realism era within Poland slowly decays in the acidic rain as a late capitalist cultural force represented by ZORK leaves its global human scrawl beneath it.

the tagger frames all history with today. the tag becomes monumental yet remains disposable, the architectural expression of socialist realism cannot escape it. though socialst realism was meant to inspire and instill a sense of permanence and monumentality in the end its durability of materials places it further out of context than other works in media created in the same era. a lovely mashup ..

ABOVE: a mildly erotic street stencil in Warsaw

ABOVE: Street Busker on a smoking break

ABOVE: a craftsman who makes instruments by hand and plays them as well.. check the threads very nice!
